1:8 Scale Replica from “Moon”
A collaborative project with the NFTS Model Makers. Using only images from the film, we were set the challenge to scale down the set of the ‘Sarang Base’.
WIP:
Working alongside the other NFTS Model Makers, we built a 1:8 scale replica of the set from scratch. As well as the painting and finishing of the set, I was involved in the design and fabrication of the props and set detailing, and the design and fabrication of the hatch door. Below shows how we made the hatch door - from technical drawing and laser cutting to moulding, casting, fabrication, and painting.
