Puppets in Progress:
The below pictures show the early stages of the process.
To fit the film’s style and design, we had to create the illusion that the puppets were made of paper. To do this while ensuring their strength and longevity, we first did the design sculpts in monster clay, then moulded and cast the heads in paper clay to create the the right texture. We then moulded and cast these in resin and fibreglass so the heads were hollow, lightweight, and strong.
Animatable Chicken Feet
Animatable chicken body and practical detachable feet made of wire and fabricated body with tissue coated in latex.
Turning
1:6 scale rice cooker hand turned in one piece out of chemiwood and textured with paper to fit the style of the film.
